2024   Invited lecture at ATSU on Medical Interpreting:Medical interpreting: working with the Spanish speaking population in the Phoenix Mesa – Scottsdale, AZ Metro area.” I was invited to come speak to the medical students and some medical doctors about how to work with Spanish speaking and non-English speaking populations, as well as how to handle having an interpreter present in the room when seeing a patient. It took place at the ATSU Kirksville, Missouri campus on 25 Jan.

2023   Presenter: “Latin Music and Dance: How Latin dances and music intersect with Latinx history and cultures.” Presented four sessions.  Classical and Modern Languages Festival, at Truman State University on Thursday, Nov 2.

2023   Keynote Speaker for CDI Hispanic Heritage Night: Presented “Socioindexicality: What what you say says about you.” Invited speaker at the first annual Hispanic Heritage Night. Truman State University, 15 Sep.

2023   Panelist for the New Faculty Orientation (as 2nd year): I was invited to present as part of the “What I Wish I’d Known” panel at Truman State University on 15 August.
